Owner/President

Jim Wilson

Jim has 35 years of riding experience and 20 years of competitive road racing, including multiple class championships and top 10 plates with the Motorcycle Roadracing Association (MRA) in Colorado. He has also competed with numerous other organizations, including MotoAmerica and Pikes Peak Int'l Hill Climb.

He served on the MRA Board of Directors for 12 years and as President from 2013-19 and again for an interim period from 2020-21. Other leadership positions include serving on both the AMA Circuit Racing Commission and as a delegate for their Congressional District 25. He also previously served as a Director for the Colorado Amateur Motorsports Association, which manages High Plains Raceway.

Jim’s coaching experience includes 17 years instructing at the MRA’s Race School including helping to create the Super Street Program in 2010, which targets new track riders. For the past 14 years he has been continuously certified and instructing with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and Colorado’s Motorcycle Operation Safety Training (MOST). Jim has also been a guest coach for Yamaha Champions Riding School at their Colorado events.

In early 2023, Jim decided he would like to open his own Denver based motorcycle training school with the goal to be the first choice of new and experienced riders seeking quality instruction. Ride On Motorcycle Training was born. School start-up was accelerated by acquiring long established T3RG Motorcycle School.

Operating in Colorado since 2003, T3RG Motorcycle School trained more than 24,000 students, offering motorcycle safety classes for novice through advanced riders at multiple locations. In 2007, T3RG developed the Civilian Top Gun Training program followed by the introduction of the Civilian Top Gun Competition in 2008. T3RG established market dominance as the exclusive provider of slow speed precision training for civilian riders interested in professional levels of safety and skill previously only available only to law enforcement.

Jim intends to continue, expand and advance the programs T3RG began with near term expansion plans to include the MSF 3-Wheel and Adventure Bike Rider Courses, Colorado State Rider Skill Testing and private track instruction.

With shared customer service and quality values, Ride On is sponsored by two of Denver’s premier motorcycle dealerships, Fay Myers Motorcycle World and BMW of Denver. Ride On is also proud to be partnered with Aurora Public Schools.
